The most important European teams will compete in the European Masters Ultimate Championship on October 17, 18, 19 and 20 at the Complutense University of Madrid.
The Organizing Committee of the European Masters Ultimate Championship of Madrid has sent us the following press release:
The European Masters Ultimate Championship (EMUC) will be held in Madrid for the first time on October 17, 18, 19 and 20 at the facilities of the Paraninfo Norte y Sur of the Complutense University of Madrid.
This is the first time that an event of such magnitude in the world of Ultimate will be held in Spain. More than 600 players from 27 teams from 13 European countries, including Spain, will compete for the title of best team in Europe over the course of 4 days, in four divisions: mixed, women, men, and grand masters.
The finals will take place on the morning of the 20th at the Spanish National Rugby Team’s central field at the Paraninfo Sur of the Complutense University.
The organization of this event will be undertaken by the local Ultimate club, Quijotes+Dulcineas Ultimate Madrid, together with the European Ultimate Federation (EUF), with the help of more than 100 staff and volunteers.
In addition, and for the first time, most of the matches will be broadcasted by the digital platform Fanseat, a world leader in online sports broadcasting.

Ultimate Frisbee, a sport recognized by the International Olympic Committee as sport within the Olympic family, is quickly spreading worldwide: it is played in more than 80 countries and has more than 170,000 players registered in the WFDF (World Flying Disc Federation), with the USA even having two professional leagues.
In Spain, Ultimate Frisbee has had a great evolution in recent years: about 1000 players are spread throughout the country on 35 clubs, and organized under the FEDV (Spanish Flying Disc Federation).
One aspect that differentiates Ultimate Frisbee is that it is a self-arbitrated sport that relies on “Spirit of the Game”, which represents honesty and fair play in sport.
