XVI Trofeo de La Abuela. 6-7 April 2019. Ciudad Universitaria. Complutense University of Madrid.
This year is a very special one for our Ultimate club. Not only because this will be the 14th edition of our tournament “La Abuela”, which we’ve been hosting every year since 2006, but also because 2019 marks Q+D’s 20th anniversary! It feels like only yesterday that the disc started to fly in Madrid and today, two decades later, we are still here to share our love for this sport with teams from all over Spain and beyond.
Fourteen editions of one of the longest-running grass tournaments in Spain, and the second edition in which it will be held in the center of metropolitan Madrid, in the heart of Ciudad Universitaria. A sports complex that offers the highest quality synthetic grass, which we will enjoy thanks to the generous collaboration of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. These fields will also host the Spanish Mixed National Championships in May – both first and second divisions – and, for the first time in Spain, the European Ultimate Masters Championship in October! We feel younger than ever.
Like every year, our goal is to help you spend a fantastic weekend together with your fellow Ultimate players, both on and off the field… So obviously, we encourage you to partake in all the activities that we have planned, it will be lots of fun!
Make yourself at home, and don’t forget that we’ll be delighted to give a hand if necessary.
